Consigli Rasolino Cigar Cutter Olive Wood Handle Regional Knife, 3-1/2-Inch Blade
The name of this knife derives from the shape of the blade that is similar to that of a razor. It was popular after the Giolitti law was passed in 1908, which imposed very strict limits to the carrying of sharp knives and encouraged the production of various models with cut-off points. The main feature of the Rasolino is its slightly back-curving blade and the shape of the handle. A hunting knife also supplied with extractors for cartridges and presented, especially in the past, in various forms. In Scarperia, the most common version, already in use at the beginning of the Eighteenth century, has a wide blade and is probably derived from older models. Equipped with a spring, with a handle in metal structure, it is particularly strong and appreciated for purposes other than hunting.
